This four day Moving and Handling Train the Trainer is designed to inform and train key personnel to become competent and effective manual handling trainers within their organisation. The course creates a clear understanding of the need to risk assess, use equipment and offers a range of moving and handling techniques for delegates to solve day to day and complex handling tasks.
On successful completion, delegates will be able to problem-solve various handling tasks and provide realistic solutions. Delegates will also be able to demonstrate to smaller groups the correct moving and handling principles, as well as demonstrate how to use generic equipment. Courses delivered on the client’s site.

Training will include a revision of topics covered in the MHTTT, which will be legislation, guidelines, MH risk assessments , equipment use, techniques and training ideas.
Emphasis will be on the practical element of people handling techniques, including Moving and Handling of inanimate objects/loads, exploring new ways to deliver training, supporting solutions to everyday handling problems and promoting a range of further ideas.

This adult basic life support training session is designed to provide knowledge and skills required to react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations, and deliver potentially life-saving help.
In line with the Resuscitation Council UK guidelines, it teaches you how to assess situations using the primary and secondary survey, carry out effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of an automated defibrillator, use of the recovery position and assisting the choking casualty, increasing the safety and quality of care provided to those within your working environment.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Understand the safe steps to take for responding to a medical emergency in accordance with local protocols.
- Be able to carry out a primary and secondary survey.
- Be able to initiate CPR and maintain effective chest compressions.
- Be able to provide basic airway management.

Fire Safety Awareness training is a legal requirement for all staff under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and current HSE regulations. This course provides the basis for developing a fire safety culture in the workplace through shared knowledge, attitudes and perceptions, about prevention and protection, helping individuals and organisations to understand their legal responsibilities, fire hazards, evacuations and firefighting equipment in an emergency.

- Explain how to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and current HSE regulations.
- Describe how fires start, spread and the importance of a fire safety culture.

How long is Emergency First aid at work certificate valid for?
The certificate is valid for three years upon course completion, this is an accredited course by Costec under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a 1-day course that equips first aiders with essential skills to handle workplace emergencies and complies with Health and Safety Executive requirements.
The course covers essential first aid skills, enabling quick and confident responses to injuries and illnesses and identifying when professional medical help is needed.
If a workplace needs assessment shows the need for more training (e.g., for employees with medical conditions), the 3-day First Aid at Work course is recommended for broader skills in recognizing and treating various injuries and conditions.
